Supreme Sealed Fireplace Door

Description

The Supreme is Wilkening’s mid-weight sealed door, built from quarter-inch steel with a dual gasket system that seals the swinging glass sections to the frame and cam latches that pull them tight. A room-air inlet creates an air wash across the glass to keep smoke from settling on it. It is the only Wilkening door offered in ready-made stock sizes (seven rectangular flush-mount models in black with a sliding screen) as well as fully custom rectangular, arched or peninsula versions with a wide choice of finishes, handles, glass and screens.

Construction: 1/4 in. steel, heavy-duty fully sealed door for closed-door use with regular heat-circulating and radiant fireplaces. Sealing system: dual gasket system sealing the swinging glass sections to the outer frame, cam-activated latches for a locked fit, and a room air inlet that washes air over the glass to reduce smoke deposits. Glass: tempered clear, smoked grey or bronze, or 1400-degree clear ceramic for closed-door burning (stock doors: choice of tempered or ceramic). Handles: black, brass or nickel spring; flat wood natural or black stain; spindle wood (top mount only); top or bottom position (stock doors: bottom-mounted spring or wood handle). Finishes for doors and frame (may differ): painted black (standard on stock doors), Swedish steel, brushed steel, painted hammered steel, lacquered hammered steel, custom high-heat paint colors; Ancient Iron trim specialty option. Screens: sliding fire screen (standard on stock doors, not available on arch doors), swing-style screen (upgrade), or none. Frame styles: stock doors use a rectangular flush-mount frame with 2 in. builder flange; custom doors offer rectangular or arched frames with rectangular or arched doors, overlap mount (1 in. overlap standard) or inside fit (template required), scroll-cut scribing to a template, raised or dropped firebox and outside-air ducts.
