Description
The un-mortised twin of the Small Mortise Post: a 54 inch, 8 by 8 inch hewn post cast in lightweight concrete without joinery pockets. It serves as the second leg of the Post & Beam Surround and is also sold individually for small fireplaces or as a compact shelf. The two posts are offered in the same seven barnwood colors as the beams.

Non-combustible per the manufacturer. Mounting: general mantel mounting instructions (bracket to studs; outdoor use permitted with exterior-grade caulk sealing).

Magra Hearth — a Wisconsin maker of lightweight cast-concrete mantels, hearths and boards that look like reclaimed timber or chiseled stone but are non-combustible (ASTM E136), so they can sit closer to the fire than wood. Every piece is hand finished, so no two are exactly alike.
