Description
A shelf mantel cast from weathered barn siding rather than a hewn beam, so the face carries the deep, open grain and silvered texture of exterior barn boards. It matches the Natural Wood mantel’s footprint in 4, 5 and 6 foot lengths and uses the same bracket mount. Companion Rustic Corbels and a matching 3-piece surround extend the look.

Material: patented lightweight concrete replicating weathered barn siding, hand finished. Non-combustible per the manufacturer. Clearance per Magra Hearth’s mantel mounting instructions (PDF) (top of glass/opening to bottom of mantel, unless the fireplace manufacturer specifies differently): ‘Under 50,000 BTU’s – 6″‘; ‘Over 50,000 BTU’s – 12″‘. Mounting: included bracket screwed to wall studs, two-person lift recommended.

Magra Hearth — a Wisconsin maker of lightweight cast-concrete mantels, hearths and boards that look like reclaimed timber or chiseled stone but are non-combustible (ASTM E136), so they can sit closer to the fire than wood. Every piece is hand finished, so no two are exactly alike.
