Hearth Boards

The Hearth Boards by Magra Hearth — a non-combustible cast concrete hearth piece. Made in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Sized, quoted and installed by A Fireplace Store and More.

Description

Thick cast concrete plank sections that lay side by side to build a raised or flush hearth with the look of reclaimed barn boards. Each board is 78 inches long in three depths and two thicknesses, so two or three boards make up a typical hearth extension in front of the firebox. They are also the hearth component called for with the Post & Beam Surround.

About the maker

Magra Hearth — a Wisconsin maker of lightweight cast-concrete mantels, hearths and boards that look like reclaimed timber or chiseled stone but are non-combustible (ASTM E136), so they can sit closer to the fire than wood. Every piece is hand finished, so no two are exactly alike.
