Decorative Mantel Straps

The Decorative Mantel Straps by Magra Hearth — a non-combustible cast concrete mantel accessory. Made in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Sized, quoted and installed by A Fireplace Store and More.

Description

Metal wrap-around straps in black or burnished silver that cover the seam when two mantel sections are butted together, turning the joint into a period ironwork detail. They are the brand’s mechanism for custom lengths beyond the longest stock casting and are also used decoratively on standard mantels. The product page carries no specifications; details come from the series brochures and install sheets.

About the maker

Magra Hearth — a Wisconsin maker of lightweight cast-concrete mantels, hearths and boards that look like reclaimed timber or chiseled stone but are non-combustible (ASTM E136), so they can sit closer to the fire than wood. Every piece is hand finished, so no two are exactly alike.
