Special order and service
Not on our floor, still within reach.
Heat & Glo and Napoleon are not brands we chose for the floor, but we can special-order either and we service both — bring the model name and we will show you the equivalent we recommend. Empire is here as White Mountain Hearth and Fireplace Xtrordinair under Travis Industries, both in the catalog. Aspen Industries, Mendota and Monessen: we service them — our technicians work on any make — but we do not sell them, and when you are buying we recommend from the brands we chose. The one exception to any-make service is electric fireplaces: we service the electric units we installed.

Questions
What people ask us about brands.
Plain answers. Anything else — call, write, or book a visit.
You don’t list the brand I want. Can you get it?
Often, yes. The names on this page are the makers we stock, install and service. If yours is not here, call us with the model and we will tell you whether we can order it — or show you the closest equivalent on the floor, side by side.
Which brand is the best?
It depends on the room, the venting and how you will use the fire, which is why we carry nineteen rather than one. Each maker above is strongest at something: DaVinci for a fireplace built to a drawing, Lopi for wood, Dimplex and Modern Flames where there is no flue, RealFyre and Hargrove for a convincing log set. A showroom visit settles it faster than a week of reading.
Do you install and service what you sell?
Yes. Our own installers put it in, and the same team services it afterwards, with parts we can get. That is the reason the list is nineteen brands and not fifty: we pick the makers we carry — they do not pick us — and we keep only what we can stand behind locally.
Can I see them before I decide?
That is what the showroom is for: nineteen brands set up at full size at 1202-B 75th Street, Downers Grove, open seven days. The electric models are lit. Bring a photo of your room and the rough size of the opening.
Is everything you carry in the online catalog?
No. The catalog shows a selection from each maker, and six of the names above are not in it yet. If you have seen a model on a maker’s website, bring the name; we can quote it.
Do you sell online or ship?
No. We measure, order, install and service, across Chicagoland. The catalog is for looking; the estimate is written after we see the fireplace.
